It seems I saw your face once
before I knew it was you.
And in that moment the world stopped;
the sky changed from green to blue.
Time left,
and hearts stopped beating.
Somehow they must have known:
This would be the worst thing
that could happen to the world.
As planets fell from the sky
and crashed into the ocean.
The stars all turned from dark to light
and set the future into motion.
Believe what you need to,
whatever helps you sleep at night.
But there was something there once,
before the earth could claim us.
